REMEDIAL TIMBER TREATMENT & DAMP CONTROL COMPANY
Maljon is a specialist timber treatment and damp control company based in Ipswich. Maljon has been running for over 50 years and was set up in 1971.
We undertake works for architects, surveyors, county councils and insurance companies, as well as builders and private individuals.
We are members of the Property Care Association and an accredited ConstructionLine, CHAS, and ICO member.

Our Story
1971
Established in September 1971 by Ernest "Malcolm" Parfitt and John Henry McGeorge; Maljon open and began trading based at 22/26 Museum Street, Ipswich
1973

1974
John Thompson and Keith Keeley are promoted to Directors of the Company
Maljon relocated to 12 Lower Brook Street, Ipswich
2025
Mark Bones retires

Mark Dickenson, our surveyor, received the award of "Certificated Surveyor in Timber and Dampness in Buildings", and scored the highest exam score out of everyone in the country!

Glen Westley retires
Malcolm Parfitt and John McGeorge retires.
Anthony Brunning and Hugh "Hughy" Hislop were promoted to Directors of Maljon

Christopher Swain joins Maljon as an Accountant and swiftly promoted to Director and Company Secretary.

Maljon move offices to Unit 20, Dales Court Business Centre, Ipswich
George Overton, Glen Westley, and Mark Bones are all promoted to Joint Managing Directors and take over from Hughy, Chris, and John

George Overton retires, leaving Glen and Mark Managing Directors

Jean Podd was promoted to Managing Director after celebrating her 26 years service
2021
Maljon undergoes their first full rebranding since 1971
